Joint with the Department of Mathematics of the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro University (DM-UTAD), the Portuguese Association of Classification and Data Analysis (CLAD) organizes its XVIII Annual Conference (JOCLAD2011), which will be held at UTAD from April 6th to April 9th, 2011.

The JOCLAD2011 conference aims to be a meeting place where scientists and technicians in the Classification and Data Analysis field could find a discussion forum to promote research, encourage interaction and exchange ideas.

These year invited speakers are: Patrice Bertrand (Paris-Dauphine University, France), João Branco (Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal), João Gama (University of Oporto, Portugal) and Ian Jolliffe (Exeter University, United Kingdom). The program will include also two Mini-Courses taught by Jaime Cardoso (University of Oporto, Portugal) and Ian Jolliffe (Exeter University, United Kingdom).
